Forty years of research, in a first impression
A custom website their team can edit, built around an original photo shoot of their labs, their equipment, and the people running the studies.
Introduction
Synchrony Labs is a preclinical contract research organization in Research Triangle Park, running cardiovascular, neurological, peripheral vascular, and structural heart studies for medical device companies. Synchrony Labs wanted to rebuild their website on a platform their own team could manage, and to replace stock imagery with real photography of their labs, their equipment, and their staff at work. Just as important, it had to speak to one specific reader: the device company comparing labs ahead of an FDA submission, deciding which one they trust to carry the program.
What We Did
2 deliverables, built to one standard
01 — Website
Website
Synchrony Labs wanted a faster, cleaner, more thorough site, one that could go deep on every service they offer without getting harder to navigate. We built it custom, with dedicated pages for preclinical services, the facility, and each area of expertise. A built-in CMS lets their team publish and update without a developer. The architecture is the part that matters longer term: they can add a new area of expertise, or child pages underneath an existing one, without a rebuild, and because the site is custom they can connect the other platforms and automations they run as those needs change. Every capability gets its own page, so there is something specific for a device company to find, and the depth underneath each service strengthens the service page itself.
02 — Photography
Photography
The facility is one of the strongest things Synchrony Labs has to show, so we spent a day on site photographing it: the cath labs, the imaging suites, the equipment, and the people running the studies. Every frame was color graded to sit with the navy, red, and teal in their logo, so the photography does more than illustrate the pages, it sets the tone of the whole site. Scrolling through it should feel like walking the building. The rooms read as clean and current, the equipment reads as serious, and the team reads like people who have done this before.
The Result
Synchrony Labs now has a website that looks like the facility it represents, and a photo library that outlives the launch. Their team can publish on their own, every area of expertise has a page built to be found, and the imagery running through all of it is theirs to use as collateral for content going forward. The site went live in August 2026 and Beach Bird Studios continues to support it.
